“Metaphor” represents images of my art work repurposed for video, an entirely new frontier for me, begun at the onset of the pandemic while in quarantine. Spanning decades of art-making my work consists of sculpture, works on paper, shots of living animals and scenic views throughout New York, each image altered by me in Photoshop for my videos. Once functioning as documentation of my art work, images no longer assume their original purpose to showcase my installations, sculptures and works on paper, but now adopt the role of actors in a performance, many serving as metaphor to engage in a deeper, buried meaning.
